We’re looking for people living with HIV – and people who don’t have HIV but are potentially at risk of contracting HIV – to be part of our voluntary advisory group.
HIV Scotland exists to ensure that all policies and practice in Scotland that are relevant to HIV are grounded in and informed by the experiences of people who have HIV, and who may be at risk of HIV – particularly gay men, sex workers and people who inject drugs. Our advisory group is one of the ways we work to involve and integrate these communities into our work.
The group will provide insight and advice to HIV Scotland on challenges in our workplan and to help us stay abreast of upcoming issues. It is a great, low-commitment way to get involved and work to influence HIV policy in Scotland.
The advisory group will meet in April and September each year, and the terms of reference [PDF – 75kB] are available for more information.
For more information and details on how to apply to join the group, contact Rik Hodgson, Information and Involvement Officer, HIV Scotland on 0131 603 8776.
