Semen Analysis
Sometimes infertility issues in a couple are rooted in the man and not the women. To figure out if this is the case doctors will need to make a semen analysis.
A semen analysis consists of taking a sample of ejaculate, which can be quite conclusive if done an hour after ejaculating. If the semen analysis shows more than 20 million sperm with 50 percent motility in 2 to 5 ml of semen, it is a normal count. One should note that even in counts less than this men are able to father children.
