Progesterone

Progesterone is an important hormone in women in relationship to fertility. Progesterone's primary function in a woman's body is to produce a lining in the uterus that is able to receive the egg after it is fertilized. If no egg is fertilized, the lining is discarded by the uterus.

Progesterone is often used to trigger menstruation and provide Luteal Phase Supplementation. Often time progesterone is administered after ovulation too make sure the process is running smoothly.

Progesterone is administered through either pill form or injection. Although both are effective, each woman's situation requires its own particular way of applying progesterone.
