Pregnancy Bleeding

Believe it or not, although bleeding during pregnancy is scary it is more probable than commonly thought. About one quarter of women experience some sort of bleeding during pregnancy. Most of the time this bleeding is just spotting, but sometimes it's more.

Normal pregnancy bleeding occurs in the first trimester. If there is pregnancy bleeding in the second or third trimester, it could indicate a much more dangerous situation with regards to the fetus and even the mother. If there is any sort of pregnancy bleeding, the mother to be needs to be in contact with her doctor or another health care provider.

Some causes of pregnancy bleeding are:

  • *Molar Pregnancy
  • *Inflamed Cervix
  • *Cervical Growth
  • *Placenta Previa
  • *Placental abruption
