Overeating Causes

The most obvious cause of overeating is psychological. Just like any eating disorder, those suffering from overeating also suffer from a distorted body image. Although this is one of the main causes of overeating it is not the only one.

Other causes of overeating include a low self esteem, anxiety, and depression. Many of those suffering from overeating do so out of a release of stress or even to fill a void.

Someone who suffers from overeating is not in control of their food intake. Many of those suffering from overeating can consume anywhere between 5,000 to 60,000 calories a day. This staggering figure is an example of the unnatural relationship someone who suffers from overeating has with the food they eat.
