Getting Pregnant

Getting pregnant may not be as easy as it seems. For many people with fertility issues and even those without, getting pregnant after intercourse may not be as successful without some basic knowledge.

It's All About The Timing

Couples need to be aware of a few basic facts about ovulation and timing. Each woman has a different number of days to her ovulation cycle. Some women ovulate every 28 days. Other ovulate every 30 and even 40 days. A woman can figure out her ovulation date by keeping a record of the timing of her last period. She should start taking her temperature right after her last period and continue this everyday. The day of her ovulation, her temperature should rise slightly. After she ovulates it should go down again.

Once a couple is sure of the woman's ovulation date they can have as much intercourse as they want the day before she ovulates, her ovulation day, and the day after.

A Healthy Diet Increases the Chances of Getting Pregnant

Many fertility specialists insist that diet plays a strong part in fertility and conception. A balanced diet, low in processed foods and sugars is key. Stress is also an important factor. A stressful lifestyle can be detrimental to producing eggs that are healthy.

Getting pregnant might be harder than you think, but with the above information it is very possible to avoid frustration at being a childless couple.
