EDNOS

If one is wondering what kind of eating disorder EDNOS is, there is no specific parameters. After all EDNOS is short for Eating Disorders Not Otherwise Specified. EDNOS is basically a group of eating disorders that share certain symptoms of other eating disorders, but not everyone.

Someone with EDNOS will have symptoms mirroring those of other eating disorders. For example someone with EDNOS might have anorexia symptoms, but still menstruate normally. If an EDNOS sufferer displays bulimia symptoms, the binge side might be less frequent than a normal bulimic.

Despite the fact that those with EDNOS might not display clear signs of a particular eating disorder doesn't reduce the fact that EDNOS is an eating disorder. Careful attention must be paid in order to stay in top of a person's symptoms to be able to treat them accordingly.
