Although binge eating is not always seen as a eating disorder by the wider society, (due to a misconception about eating disorders and weight loss) binge eating is perhaps the most wide spread eating disorder. It contributes to a large percentage of obesity.
Most people describe binge eating disorder as bulimia without the bingeing. Of course there are other factors as well.
Binge Eating Treatment: Still Unknown
Binge Eating Treatment has not been solidified since the eating disorder has only recently been substantiated. If one would piece together a
binge eating treatment it would encompass the following:
- * Psychotherapy
* Antidepressants such as Paxil, Zoloft and Prozac
- * Appetite suppressants
