Although binge eating is often times confused with bulimia nervosa due to the similarities of "the binge phase," that's where the comparison stops. Binge eating disorder involves a person eating to the point where they are uncomfortably full. They normally do this outside of the view of family and friends causing loved ones to be unaware of the sufferer's plight.
Binge eaters are often time obese as well as reclusive and lonely. Of course this is just one huge cycle causing the sufferer more and more pain and trauma.
Most people with a binge eating disorder can be helped and they often are, yet like any eating disorder, the longer one waits, the harder it will be to escape the clutches of binge eating.
